Solving NH’s Brain Drain
A recent report concluded that almost 20% of NH’s highly educated residents are leaving the state. That is the 9th worst state exodus in the country, leaving New Hampshire businesses with fewer qualified applicants to fill vacated jobs.
The Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) wants to solve that problem by building connections between their students and NH businesses and introducing students, who may not otherwise have the chance, to the multiple opportunities awaiting them after they graduate from high school or college.
The Spring 2019 VLACS & NH Business Leaders Collaborative Session introduced area business to VLACS’ unique and authentic ability to combine academics, relationships and networking through work-based learning.
